After many years working in the electronics industry, Joseph Phillips chose to apply his education and experience to the practice of public accounting. He learned his moral and financial values and appreciation for good hard work growing up on a New England farm. Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross in mathematics and worked several years for government contractors and electronic product manufacturers. Understanding the value of education, he returned to college attending Suffolk University nights and there earned the Masters of Business Administration degree focusing on finance and marketing.

 

An employment opportunity brought Joe to Texas in the early 1990’s for a subsidiary of an international company. He and his wife, Katie, an Irving, TX native, subsequently settled in south Parker County where they enjoy the benefits this state has to offer. When Joe made the decision to apply his life experiences to accounting, he returned to college once again as a post baccalaureate student at Tarleton State University. This along with appropriate accounting experience gained working with a Granbury, TX CPA equipped Joe to take and pass the Texas Certified Public Accounting exam. Joe subsequently established Joseph L Phillips, CPA, PC which operates in Granbury, TX to serve your accounting needs.

 

In Joe's spare time, he enjoys hunting and photography. Joe's most precious time is spent with his wife, dogs, and horses.
